Teen books lip filler appointment and 'bawls eyes out' after looking in mirror

A woman was horrified after looking in the mirror after her lip filler appointment – and ended up sobbing in her car after seeing the results. Emma Williams filmed her devastated reaction to the salon session as a cautionary tale to others considering getting cosmetic work done.

The 19-year-old, from Manchester, had been excited at the prospect of getting a gorgeously juicy pout. But to her dismay, she felt like she looked more like a "duck" after getting the popular tweakment.

Emma recalled: “So I went into the salon on my own. The reception lady sat me down and popped on my numbing cream.

“So she calls me to the back of the shop, I lie on the bed and I was super excited. She talks me through it and there we have it, the lip filler was in.”

The teen first noticed something was awry when she experienced throbbing in her lips – and then she noticed all the swelling.

She said: “The pain was unbearable even with the numbing cream. I sat up and my face dropped - instant regret.

"I seriously didn’t even recognise myself, especially with these two balloon looking lips looking back at me...

“The lady says: 'Don’t worry they’ll go down.' I left with literal tears in my eyes, got in my car and just bawl my eyes out.”

Emma filmed herself sobbing in her car and posted her honest reaction on TikTok. She warned viewers: “This is everyone's sign, don't get your lips done.

“I hate them. I look like a duck, what the f*** do I do, I look ridiculous.”

Emma was dreading showing her family the final results – and her mum couldn't resist having a giggle at her expense.

She said: “I went home and my mum just laughed and wouldn’t look at me. I was regretting it so much. Everyone was mortified and so was I.”

While the swelling did subside after a few days, Emma is unlikely to be rushing back to the salon any time soon.

She said: "Was it worth it? Definitely not. I only really wanted it to even out my lips as I felt on camera pictures they looked uneven. So I only got 0.7ml anyway. You can’t even tell I’ve had it now.”

Emma's short video has gone viral on social media, garnering 41,000 likes and 500 comments. Even though she was left shaken up by the appointment, some followers reassured her there was nothing wrong with her pout.

One said: "They will calm darling." Another said: “Give it four days. I hated mine, now I love them.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “They look so good!! It’s just a shock at first. They go down loads as well.”
